The funLiam Appreciation Society was formed during the period of the 7-14th of March 1999, by the people who now are referred to as the committee of the Appreciation Society.

The Society was set up with a means to (primarily) :

  1. Ending the severe drought of Thermos Propaganda throughout DCU.

  2. Acknowledging the Appreciation of funLiam, the famous Thermos flask by several members of the CA1 population, and to a lesser extent, the rest of the college in general.

  3. Creating a forum for the discussion of Flasks, Thermos Flasks, and in particular, DCU's most famous Thermos Flask, funLiam.


Membership into the society is entirely free (for the moment), and is attainable by contacting one of the committee members. In the future, it is possible that there could be some form of online membership registration, however, don't hold your breath.

funLiam.com (the website of funLiam, and the funLiam Appreciation Soc), was created and is maintained entirely by the members of the committee (in association with, and, under the direction of funLiam).
